Savannah Welch is a member of the firm's Family Law practice group. Her practice includes divorce, custody and parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, third-party custody, domestic abuse, post-decree matters, and other areas of family law. Savannah's approach to casework is based in compassion and practicality, and she prides herself in finding creative solutions to decrease conflict, reduce cost, and maximize value for her clients.
Prior to joining Best & Flanagan, Savannah enjoyed a four-year Clerkship at the Hennepin County Family Justice Center and several years at other local family law firms. She has worked exclusively in the area of family law and domestic abuse, where she gained first-hand experience with the family court system, insight into the judicial officers' decision-making process, and understanding of the comprehensive needs of families in transition.
Savannah graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2016. During law school, she gained valuable, diverse legal experience as a law clerk for a small family law firm and for local and regional legal-aid offices. Savannah was also an advocate at the child protection clinic and served as student body president. She has learned that no family is the same, and the separation of families involves myriad legal, social, and chemical, mental, and physical health issues.
