Best & Flanagan is seeking a transactional attorney to join its thriving and dynamic business law team.
Candidates must be licensed in Minnesota and should have experience in entity formation, structure and governance, contract negotiation, tax and regulatory compliance, M&A and succession planning. While no minimum number of years of practice is required, ideal candidates will have practiced for at least five years and will have significant transactional and project management experience. Judgment, intelligence, curiosity, creativity, accountability and fit are more important than years of experience. We believe that smart people working as a team can advance the goals of our clients and our firm.
As a one-office, mid-size firm serving as outside general counsel to hundreds of companies, Best & Flanagan serves a unique role in the local legal market. We provide a challenging, rewarding and collegial environment for you to build your career. We believe in a spirit of collaboration and respect, in the strength that comes from a diversity of talent and perspectives, and in bringing out the best that each of us has to offer to our clients and the community.
The position combines the general counsel role of trusted advisor with the variety, flexibility and entrepreneurialism of a firm. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with clients, owning answers, managing projects and workstreams, engaging in business development efforts, and generally acting as a responsible and co-equal member of the team. Successful candidates take a wide-angle view of clients’ issues to offer holistic business advice and have the emotional intelligence to successfully communicate that advice to clients.
If you are interested in joining our team, please email a cover letter, resume and references to recruitment@bestlaw.com.
