Sarah E. Crippen Certified by Minnesota State Bar Association as Labor and Employment Law Specialist

Best & Flanagan LLP is pleased to announce that Sarah E. Crippen has been named a Certified Labor and Employment Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association.

The certification recognizes Sarah’s significant experience representing clients in labor and employment matters. Fewer than 3% of all licensed Minnesota attorneys have been certified as specialists by the MSBA. The certified specialist designation is based on a rigorous approval process, including an examination in the specialty area, peer review, and documented experience in labor and employment law matters. According to the MSBA, certified attorneys have demonstrated superior knowledge, skill and integrity in their specific field.

Sarah received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota, magna cum laude, in 1991. She earned her B.A. in English from Carleton College, magna cum laude, in 1987. Sarah is the Chair of Best & Flanagan’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution section and of the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group, and serves as the firm’s Human Resources Partner. Sarah’s employment and labor practice includes policy and practice advice; litigation in discrimination, wrongful discharge, contract and other employment-related claims; representation of clients before federal and state human rights and equal employment opportunity enforcement agencies; and labor negotiations and grievances. Sarah also has a general civil litigation practice that includes contract disputes, regulatory and administrative hearings and mediation and arbitration.
