Kim Ruckdaschel-Haley Speaks at Trust and Estate Litigation Seminar

Minnesota CLE hosted its annual Trust and Estate Litigation forum this week and introduced the first edition of their latest deskbook of the same name. Best & Flanagan’s Kim Ruckdaschel-Haley co-authored the chapter on Fees and Costs with Senior Judge Elizabeth V. Cutter, and they both spoke at this year’s seminar about the statutory provisions and recovery expectations for all parties when it comes to requesting attorney fees and costs during these types of nuanced matters.

Kim is an experienced litigator who regularly represents institutions and individuals in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters, including trust and probate, securities, contract, fiduciary duty, corporate governance, and other disputes. While Kim has extensive experience litigating in both state and federal courts, she provides advice in an effort to find efficient solutions short of the courtroom where doing so meets her clients’ goals.

Matters in the trust and litigation space often involve emotional and personal dynamics that converge with the specialized area of estate planning and the technical and strategic aspects of litigation. The Trust and Estate Litigation Deskbook will complement the expertise of each practitioner and serve as a strategic companion to the practice. Each chapter is authored by Minnesota trust and estate attorneys with many years of experience litigating these issues, which gives them special insight into what Minnesota lawyers need to know about contested trusts and estate plans and remedies to best serve their clients.

Minnesota CLE’s Trust and Estate Litigation seminars were presented in-person on December 4, 2024, and will be re-played online on Thursday, December 19. Please visit the event’s website for more information.
