2021 Probate and Trust Law Section Conference Features Several Best & Flanagan Attorneys
Minnesota CLE will host the upcoming 2021 Probate and Trust Law Section Conference on June 7 and 8. Several Best & Flanagan attorneys will be presenting at this year’s virtual conference, which will focus on new developments, practical advice and best practices in trust and estate planning law.
Jennifer Lammers, in her capacity as Chair of the MSBA Probate and Trust Law Section, will provide the welcome and opening remarks on Monday, June 7. She will also lead the section meeting on Tuesday, June 8.
Bob McLeod will lead the session “2021 Non-Tax Case Law Update,” where he will present an in-depth review of all published and unpublished probate and trust cases that provide relevant insight to Minnesota practices. Following the release of the third edition of the Minnesota Guardianship and Conservatorship Law Handbook, Bob will also provide a “2021 Guardianship and Conservatorship Update.” Both sessions will occur on June 7.
Bill Asp will participate as a member of the 2021 Probate Panel, and share insights on important probate matters. He will be joined by Andrea Breckner (Olson & Breckner), Cynthia Costello (Maslon), Daniel Donovan (Faegre Drinker), J. Steve Nys (Fryberger), and Julie Peterson (Fourth Judicial District), with the panel moderated by Susan Link (Maslon).
Kim Ruckdaschel-Haley will moderate the session “Navigating Virtual Litigation in Probate Disputes” on June 8. This session will explore how litigation has changed as a result of the pandemic, and will provide updates on how courts handle initial hearings, motions, and trials in the virtual landscape. Panelists will include Norman Abramson (Bassford Remele), Adine Momoh (Stinson), and Julian Zebot (Maslon). They will offer practical tips on everything from remote depositions to remote mediations, trials, and more.
