Best & Flanagan is pleased to announce that Kim Ruckdaschel-Haley has joined as a Partner in the firm’s Litigation and Private Wealth Planning practice groups.
An experienced litigator, Kim regularly represents institutions and individuals in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters, focusing her practice on trust and probate, securities, contract, fiduciary duty, corporate governance, and other disputes. Kim also advises clients in compliance matters and represents them in connection with regulatory inquiries, investigations, and actions. She serves as a conciliation court referee for the First Judicial District Court.
“We are thrilled that Kim has joined our litigation team and our fiduciary litigation practice," said Sarah Crippen, the firm's Managing Partner. "Kim is a fantastic fit for our clients and brings her own clients who know well her hands-on, practical, team-based approach. While she joins us at an extraordinary time – having to start her practice with us in remote-work mode – Kim already feels like one of us, and we’re eager for an in-person practice with her for years to come.”
Prior to joining Best & Flanagan, Kim was a partner at Ballard Spahr in Minneapolis. There, she earned the 2019 Alan J. Davis Award for her commitment to public service through her pro bono work in representing indigent clients in immigration matters, as well as the Leonard E. Lindquist Award for her pro bono work in expungement. Kim is recognized as a North Star Lawyer by the Minnesota State Bar Association and as one of the Best Lawyers in America for her work in trusts and estates litigation. She is a graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Law and South Dakota State University.
