Justin Short Recognized as Power 30 Construction and Real Estate Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer

Best & Flanagan is pleased to announce that Justin Short has been selected to the 2023 edition of “The POWER 30: Construction and Real Estate,” published in the March 30 issue of Minnesota Lawyer. The editorial-selected list highlights “those whose mere presence on a case signifies the stakes, who have influenced the direction of the law, whose leadership in the community is pervasive and whose respect within the bar is undeniable.”

Justin is a partner in the firm’s Construction Law, Real Estate and Litigation practice groups where he represents prime contractors, subcontractors and commercial landowners. He specializes in construction claims relating to infrastructure, highway and bridge projects and vertical construction, and works closely with state and federal governments and the Army Corps of Engineers. Justin has represented clients throughout the Midwest, as well as Colorado, Arizona and Texas.

In his POWER 30 profile, Justin says, “Minnesota is home to some of the most innovative and sophisticated contractors in the country.” The trends he sees in public projects are generational changes. “It’s a personality change, not a change in the law or specifications,” he said. To avoid losses, increased costs and delays, Justin always recommends that contractors and their staff keep careful and thorough records, and communicate effectively.
